Blogging for Oneself

If you wish to see the truth then hold no opinion
for or against anything.
To set up what you like against what you dislike is
the disease of the mind.
When the deep meaning of things is felt
the mind's essential peace is preserved

-The Great Nothingness by Seng-ts'an, 3rd Patriarch of Zen

The task of blogging is a difficult one for me. I seem to have no opinions for or against anything. I believe that everything has intrinsic value. Seeing he truth of the above quote I see that ultimately there is no such thing as right or wrong, good or bad, positive or negative. There are, however, things I definitely do not agree with, but that is my individual preference. I do feel discernment is the better part of valor. It is a most appropriate skill in this day of information overload. But discernment is an ongoing development in living and it depends where people are at in their own particular evolution. Beyond that, there is a level of allowing each and everyone of us to have the choice of his or her own spiritual path. This is the foundation of www.newrealities.com

The purpose here is to present the vast range of almost endless possibilities available for human potential. I want this site to be an all-encompassing, all-inclusive, place for anything and everything related to our individual and planetary progression of consciousness and awareness. Not only do I want to provide people with a comprehensive list of events, lectures and workshops, but I also want to provide people with a sort of social sanctuary to express their ideas, opinions, visions and hopes for a brighter more enlightened tomorrow.

I don’t believe there is “one” way we can transform society. But I know that this is up to each and every person’s unique destiny. In Chinese medicine they say that the lowest form of healing is making a person feel better. The next level is to maintain health. But the highest form of medicine is to connect the person to their destiny- their special reason for incarnating. When this happens the other two levels are immediately achieved. This is what we want to make available to everyone: the freedom to decide your ultimate destiny and in that create a more uplifted, socially conscious, environmentally responsible planet.

Throughout my many journeys and my research into human knowledge and possibilities, I have encountered a myriad groups and individuals, who have all proclaimed to hold “The Answer” for everyone. These cover the spectrum! Some claim that a perfect paradise will be attained through pan-vegetarianism or veganism or breatharianism; for others it is 911 truth, UFO revelation, exopoiltics, or weaving orgasm into the collective conversation. Others strongly adhere to the ways of the kabala, meditation, tai chi. And still others only respond to the legalization of marijuana or the prevention of global warming or even cutting the population -- the list goes on ad infinitum.

HG Wells said, “History is race between education and catastrophe.” Human history speaks for itself and no single “way” has served as the supreme answer. From the beginning of time people have wanted only their specific ideology to reign: Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, environmentalism, etc. And as far as I can tell, there never will be one answer. Any type of proclaimed “ism” inevitably evokes a feeling of resistance from one group or another. As I see it, it is only when we can co-exist in harmonious balance with each other despite our differences, that true unequivocal peace can be attained. Our global culture is pluralistic, not static, and our tastes are a rich banquet of personal desires and social interactions.

Another of one my favorites quotes is George Bernard Shaw’s: “What we learn from history is that we learn nothing from history.” Well we have a chance for the old way to dissolve into something new and unknown. There are at least two reasons why this is possible now: 1) the wide dissemination of cross-cultural information in our “global village” as Marshall McLuhan called it. And 2) because of new worldview coming into play based on the understanding of Quantum Realities that values of the individual subjective experience.

John Lennon, a modern-day prophet of awareness sang: “I don’t believe in Buddhism. I don’t believe in karma, I don’t believe in Beatles. I just believe in me. Yoko and me, that’s reality.”

What Lennon was saying is that it comes down to the individual expression of the self: "Follow your bliss", your joy. What is it that you want to do? What is it that that truly makes you happy? You and only you! You create who you are! You determine what fulfills you in this very moment! You paint your own picture of reality and establish your own boundaries.

We often seek identity through something outside of ourselves, but the fact is, neither you nor anyone else can be defined by an organization or by a company or by a tribe. It is the courage of the individual to make his or her won unique expression of truth known, and it is this precisely that which moves society forward. We are now in a time of a new paradigm of personal experience. This must be honored so self-expression can become the key to collective evolution.

We are all artists creating our own masterpiece. That masterpiece is our self-expression. Unfortunately, there are many people who have not been equipped with the skills to cultivate their unique vision—they have never been encouraged to express themselves. From a young age most of us are told there is a right way and wrong way and to believe strictly in what others have told us; pure here-say! Well, I say that the possibilities of reality are limitless: forget right or wrong! The key to education is exploration. Its sole purpose should be to bring forth the genius that each of us has. This allows the individual, as a fractal of the collective, the opportunity to dream bigger dreams.

“Let those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be troubled. When they are troubled, they will marvel, and will reign over all.” From the Gospel according to Thomas
In a free and open sociality, dreamers dream together so we can awake; meaning your individual expression is important to inspire the expressions of others. Forget the “isms,” “the causes,” and the “collective motives.” Go for your own, personal dream, which is merely a result of allowing the search to unfold. The purpose of incarnational existence is finding that happy balance between self and others. Kabalistic wisdom says: “If I am not for myself, who will be for me? If I am only for myself, who will be for me?”

In a television interview I did with theoretical biologist Bruce Lipton, he clarified for me that “Humanity will exist only when we all come together expressing our uniqueness in a harmonious coherence.” To see the whole clip of Lipton and our evolutionary destiny go to: http://www.youtube.com/newrealities

So it is up to each one of us to be the artist and follow his or her individual dream...your own divinely inspired vision. And it is in the realization of this dream that will cause you to awake. This will ignite the fire of passion deep within your core. This is the kind of inspiration that benefits the world in a more profound way than any dogma or fanaticism. The American painter Albert Pinkin Ryder said, “Artist have to remain true to their dream and it will possess their work in such a manner that it will resemble the work of no other artist- for no two visions are alike, and those who reach the heights have all toiled up the steep mountain by a different route. To each has revealed a different panorama."

The universe is omni-centric: it is the ever-flowing interconnected masterpieces of the whole, all collective selfs. It is our own uniqueness—our idiosyncrasies, our talents, the different panoramas (perspectives) that adds to universal knowledge. My favorite American poet, E.E. Cummings said in his “6 Non Lectures” at Harvard, “…. the artist responsibility is to be oneself. If you can take it, take it—and be. If you can’t cheer up and go about doing someone else’s business.”
